About Cloud Gate

Called The Bean by Chicagoans. Made of 168 stainless steel plates welded and polished seamless. Weighs 110 tonnes. Reflects and distorts the Chicago skyline. The 10 x 20 x 13 meter sculpture has no visible seams. The omphalos underneath is a 7.7 meter concave chamber.
