About Nike Adjusting Her Sandal
A graceful figure bending to adjust her sandal. Her drapery clings to her body, seemingly transparent. Part of the parapet of the Temple of Athena Nike. The pose suggests movement caught in a moment. One of the most elegant surviving Classical Greek reliefs.
