About Discobolus
A discus thrower captured at the moment of maximum tension. The original Greek bronze is lost, only Roman marble copies survive. Hitler was obsessed with it and bought one version in 1938. The pose creates a dynamic curve from head to foot. The face is calm while the body strains.
