About Lacoon and His Sons
Depicts the Trojan priest Laocoon and his sons attacked by sea serpents. Discovered in Rome in 1506, instantly famous. Influenced Michelangelo and the Renaissance. The missing arms were restored incorrectly, right arms extended, in the 16th century. The correct positions were discovered in the 20th century.
